Choose battery capacity to match your home

The right battery depends on overnight consumption, available solar generation and your goals. We consider usable capacity, inverter output and space for installation, rather than selecting a battery on capacity alone.

Adding a battery to existing solar

You may be able to keep your current solar system. Compatibility depends on the inverter and equipment already installed. Send photos of your inverter, switchboard and proposed battery location for an initial discussion.

Battery backup during a blackout

Backup is not automatic with every battery installation. It requires compatible equipment and a suitable electrical design. We discuss which circuits you want supported and the limits of the proposed system, including starting loads and available stored energy.

What your battery quote should cover

  • Battery capacity and inverter output
  • Compatibility with existing solar
  • Installation location and switchboard work
  • Backup scope, where included
  • Monitoring, warranty information and handover

Solar and battery installation together

Starting from scratch? We can design both parts together. Read about solar installation on the Gold Coast, or contact Spider to discuss your property.
